The Third Sector Interface group which includes The Bridge, BAVS, Volunteer Centre Borders and Scottish Borders Social Enterprise Chamber met with members of the Scottish Governments Third Sector Division on Monday 7th February, 2011

The Interface has been operating as a Partnership for the last few months and the group was able to give the Third Sector an update on what has been happening and the links that have been forged with Community Planning. A lot is expected of the 32 Interfaces throughout Scotland and the Partners are ready to face the challenge.

The new budget for the sector has yet to be announced but initial indications are that the Government have recognised the role of the Third Sector and this is one budget that has not only been protected but will see an increase in its budget at least for the first year!
