Third Sector Interface - update

The Third Sector Interface group which includes The Bridge, BAVS, Volunteer Centre Borders and Scottish Borders Social Enterprise Chamber has been working over the last few months on how it will work in the future. This has come from the Scottish Government who are looking for a single "Interface" that will come together to represent the "Third Sector" in the Community Planning process.

The Interface group have been working hard to ensure that the structure is robust and meets the approval of the Boards of the organisations, Community Planning and the Scottish Government but most important it must be set up so that all the members of the organisations and any new groups setting up will find a seamless service and of a similar standard throughout the Borders.

The Interface signed its Partnership agreement on 29th March, 2010 and from now on will be known as the Third Sector Partnership. There is still a lot of work to do but one assurance we can all give and that is we are here to help and promote a sector that delivers important services here in the Borders
